Elizabeth Warren is an American politician who also happens to be in Academics before she left for politics.
She has been a congresswoman serving in the senate since 2013, she is a senator from Massachusetts, she belongs to the Democratic Party and she is also a progressive.
Elizabeth’s journey into politics began in 2012 when she first contested for a seat in the senate, she contested against an incumbent senator representing the republican by the name Scott Brown whom she defeated at the poll and became the first female from Massachusetts to be elected into the Senate in November 2012.
She is the fourth child of her parents, her parents’ names are Donald Jones and Pauline Louise. She lived her early life Noman Oklahoma with her family and siblings.
Elizabeth Warren started her early education at the Northwest Classen High School before she proceeded to the George Washington University at the age of 16 on scholarship, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology in 1970.
After her degree in speech pathology, she furthered her education by enrolling for law in law school and she passed successfully and became a lawyer.
After her education and becoming a lawyer, she began her career as a lecturer at the Rutgers University where she taught law for a couple of years before moving to the University of Houston where she rose to become an associate dean in 1980.
In 1981 she became an associate professor and taught at the University of Texas School of law, during this period she was a visiting professor at the University of Michigan. She majored mainly in Economics and Law.
Warren moved from University of Michigan to University of Pennsylvania law school in 1987 as a full-time professor, during that period she was privileged to teach at prestigious Harvard Law as a visiting professor where she taught commercial law.
After leaving the academics she declared her intention to run for a seat in the senate under the Democratic Party on September 14, 2011, she contested in the year 2012 against an incumbent senator from the republican and she defeated him to become the first female senator to be elected to the Senate from Massachusetts.
As a member of the senate she played major roles in the house and happens to be member of various committee in the senate some of which include the following committees.

- Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs
- Committee on Health, Education, Labour and Pension
- Special committee on Aging
Elizabeth Warren is happily married to Bruce H Mann, before getting married to Bruce her present husband she was formerly married to her Ex-husband Jim Warren the marriage lasted from 1968 to 1978 and the union was blessed with two children.
Her marriage to her current husband Bruce H Mann who is a law professor from Harvard.
