Method One To Mute Your Mic By Default On Stack Calls and Huddles
On your computer, go to the “Settings” tab on your browser and select Privacy and Security
Privacy and security are issues that many people face today. At Google, we take it seriously, which is why you can now mute your microphone by default on huddles and stack calls. For those of you who are concerned about the privacy and security of your voice conversations, we recommend you use a service like Signal or Wickr. Also, note that you can delete your voice history at any time through the settings of the app.

It is important to be aware of your settings! Play Call outs If you are playing callouts, it is important to mute your mic on the pre-game chat. This is so that you can hear the director and make sure you’re announcing clearly. Hover over the microphone icon and click on your team color in order to mute yourself.
Choose which microphone you want as your default microphone from the settings
You can now control which microphone you want to use for all calls and huddles in your settings. If you select the default microphone, when you start a call or huddle, no sound will be heard from your device. However, if you’re on a video call and mute the audio from your device, it will still show up as muted on the other participant’s devices.
Method Two To Mute Your Mic By Default On Stack Calls and Huddles

When you are on a call or huddle, you are not able to see the other person’s screen. This can lead to a lot of misunderstandings and confusion.
To avoid this, mute your mic by default on Stack Calls and Huddles when you click on the Settings icon in the top right corner of the screen. You can unmute yourself anytime during the call by clicking on your name in the top left corner of the screen and then clicking on the mic icon.

This is a great feature for when you are on a call with a lot of people and don’t want to be interrupted by other people talking in the background.
Send and Read Text Messages & Emails: This is a nice feature for when you are driving, and don’t want to distract yourself from what you’re doing.
With this option, you can text or email your friends without pressing any buttons. This is also great when driving because it won’t throw up a distraction on the screen while trying to talk.
