The Nigerian climate is characterized by large extremes in temperatures, and the winds are a result of this. The continent has a tropical and humid climate because it’s located on the equator.

The earth’s rotation around the sun causes air masses to rise from near the equator to higher altitudes. This causes warm air to rise from lower latitudes to higher latitudes where it cools with altitude.

The continents are divided into two categories: those that are located near the equator and those that are not. This is because, as the earth rotates, air masses will rise from the equator to higher altitudes.

The continuous descending motion of air masses from near the equator to higher altitudes causes a tropical and humid climate in these areas.

Nigeria as different seasons, weather and they all have different characteristics, this characteristics differentiate each season from one another.

Season is a physical state of a location that can be determined by the average weather and the length of day-night cycles.
